National Corvette Museum Ambassador Program

Congratulations to our own Kevin Monticello (Mongoose) for being named a National Corvette Museum Ambassador to Huron Valley Corvette Club.

The purpose of the Ambassador Program is to provide Corvette clubs/organizations a two way communication link to the NCM. This program provides several opportunities to offer support through participation and involvement in the functions of the Museum. Corvette clubs/organizations can play an important role in the mission of the National Corvette Museum by providing the NCM and its staff guidance and assistance.

Each participating Corvette club/organization will nominate/select an “Ambassador” to act as the liaison of that club/organization to the National Corvette Museum. The person selected to be an “Ambassador” will have a distinct interest in the success and future of the Museum and be at least an active Individual member of the NCM.

The Ambassador’s mission will be that of receiving and disseminating the most current and correct information from the Museum, and to convey that information to their local Corvette club/organization. The Ambassador will act as a Museum representative to promote and solicit support for the Museum through promotional activities and encourage other Corvette enthusiasts to join the Museum. Additionally, the Ambassador will be the voice of the Corvette club/organization, communicating concerns, ideas and suggestions to the NCM.

Thank you for cruising by the Huron Valley Corvette Club website! Our club was founded in 1965 by a group of Corvette enthusiasts who were interested in coming together to have fun, share technical information, tell stories, develop lasting relationships, and support community events.

Huron Valley Corvette Club promotes pride in ownership of America's #1 sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette, through car shows, cruise-ins, education, family events, and civic responsibility.

Our club enjoys a strong presence and great reputation in the Southern Michigan area. We have members of all ages, professions and backgrounds. We are dedicated to encouraging and preserving the spirit of this great American car. And we do this just for the fun of it. We love to socialize maybe even more than we love our Corvettes.

From that beginning, our club has grown to over 85 members. Some of the road tours have taken us into GM Headquarters, the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, to Savannah, Georgia and of course to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2013 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Corvette.
